Prof Zhao Jin Xi shares his considerable knowledge and clinical experience in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy and the concept of latent pathogen and associated disorders and treatment of paediatric disorders

Professor Zhao Jin Xi of Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing inspired by the theory of Shang Han Lun, advocates a diagnosis-treatment scheme “Trinity System” for miscellaneous and difficult to treat diseases by adopting a model of constitution identification, disease identification and pattern identification. For the treatment of women and paediatric as well as difficult-to-treat diseases, Professor Zhao employs the theories from ancient classics as guiding principle and applies classic formulas for the treatment of these diseases.

Prof Zhao is the nominated successor of Professor Lu Ren He who specialises in the treatment of diabetes and renal disorders, and the head of the department of Nephrology Endocrinopathy of the Dongzhimen Hospital. He is a prolific writer and has published over 90 journal articles and 15 books associated with the clinical applications of major classics, endocrine diseases and diabetes. He is presently leading a national project “The research of the full intervention of TCM on the process of diabetic nephropathy”
