Unlocking the Power of Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) Case Reports: practice-based research | customised treatments | better patient outcomes.
Join us for an insightful three-part webinar series exploring the structured production of TEAM case reports to enhance both our clinical practice and professional growth. Discover how our everyday treatments in TEAM clinics contribute meaningfully to the expanding body of knowledge in the field. Learn how our traditional insights and personalised treatments bridge the gap between classical wisdom and contemporary research. Each session will take a deep dive into the process of crafting a high-quality case report for publication, using real-life examples to guide you through every step.

Part 1: The CHM-CARE Guidelines and a case report on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
Begin the series with a comprehensive introduction to CHM-CARE, where you’ll learn about its origins, mission, and the critical role detailed case reports play in transforming TEAM. This session will then transition into a compelling case study on interstitial cystitis treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (CHM).

Date & Time: 12pm – 1:30pm (AEST), Monday 14th April 2025

Part 2: Diving deeper into producing a structured case report using a case on Burning Mouth Syndrome
Using the CHM-CARE checklist, we will guide you step by step in creating a publishable case report. In this session, we will focus on a case of burning mouth syndrome—an often-puzzling condition that resists conventional medical treatments. Beyond learning to structure a compelling case report, you will gain valuable insights into diagnostic techniques and personalised treatment strategies, deepening your understanding of this complex disorder.

Date & Time: 12pm – 1:30pm (AEST), Monday 23rd June 2025

Part 3: Becoming confident in producing a structured case report using a case on Chronic Insomnia
In this last session, we focus on an in-depth case report outlining tailored treatment plans for chronic insomnia that incorporate acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (CHM). Using this practical (published) example, we will outline each step and encourage you to follow through with one of your case reports.

Date & Time: 12pm – 1:30pm (AEST), Monday 18th August 2025
